The ACTV Aerobus is the city-run bus service between Marco Polo Airport and Piazzale Roma in Venice (with some Mestre stops). Three numbered lines — 5, 15 and 45 — but to the passenger they are interchangeable.
Journey time: 25–30 minutes from the airport to Piazzale Roma. Frequency: every 15 to 20 minutes during the day. Bus departs from the Marco Polo arrivals hall pavement (signposted "ACTV").
The standard one-way ticket. Buy at the ACTV ticket office or vending machine at Marco Polo arrivals.
A small saving over two singles. Valid for 75 minutes each way (so you can transfer onto a vaporetto on the same ticket).
The clever option. When you redeem your 24/48/72-hour or 7-day Vaporetto voucher at the Marco Polo machine, add the Aerobus for +€7 one-way or +€13 return. Single ticket covers both bus and city transport.
ATVO is the private competitor — same airport, same route, same price (€10), but non-stop and 5 minutes faster (20 min vs. 25 min). With more luggage you may prefer ATVO; with the multi-day Vaporetto add-on the ACTV Aerobus is unbeatable for value.
No — Marco Polo airport buses (ACTV Aerobus and ATVO) are NOT included in any Vaporetto ticket. You add the Aerobus to a multi-day ticket for +€7 one-way or +€13 return, or buy a standalone ticket.
A €18 combined ticket valid for 90 minutes — Aerobus from Marco Polo plus one vaporetto or bus ride in the city. Useful if you only need one onward trip and not a full day pass. Sold at the Marco Polo bus office.
Yes — first departure around 04:20, last around 01:00. Outside those hours take a private taxi or arrange a transfer.
