From Piazzale Roma right through the Grand Canal to Lido S.M.E. — about 1 hour 15 minutes. Slow, but you see the city on the way. Best as a sightseeing route after an afternoon at the beach.
Faster than Line 1. From Ferrovia or Piazzale Roma, the 5.1 swings around outside the historic centre to Lido in about 45 minutes. 5.2 goes the other way. Every 20 minutes.
Monday to Friday only (06:21–20:52), Line 6 goes from Piazzale Roma to Lido S.M.E. in around 30 minutes via Zattere and the Giardini. The quickest weekday option.
From San Marco-San Zaccaria to Lido S.M.E. is about 10–15 minutes on Line 14 (the bigger motonave boat). Continues on to Punta Sabbioni.
From San Marco: about 15 minutes on Line 14. From Piazzale Roma: 30 minutes on Line 6 (Mon–Fri) or 45 minutes on Line 5.1. The full Line 1 route from Piazzale Roma takes about 1 hour 15 minutes.
Yes — Line 17 is a car ferry from Tronchetto to Lido San Nicolò, hourly, 24 hours. For foot passengers it is included in your Vaporetto ticket. With a car you book a separate vehicle fare.
Yes — Lido buses A, B, V and N are all included. Line A runs the length of the island to Alberoni. Line V serves the cinema and Malamocco. Plus the Vaporetto ticket covers the bus + ferry Line 11 to Pellestrina and Chioggia.
